I'm annoyed that my son's school gave him an
iPad...there, I said it. I'm annoyed that the school is given a lump sum of money and the kids are handed
iPads. Really? First, my son has been on it non stop since it was handed to him. We have an
iPad, one that we have time restrictions on...not this, this is like a "tool" for school. Second, I KNOW how irresponsible my son is...I want to know how many, out of the hundreds of kids they were given to, have already broken, lost or abused these new "learning" tools. Third, THAT was what the school needed? I don't know, maybe I'm from the old school...are books not a necessity anymore? What about their sports teams? Is the school district THAT rich? Because the last I checked, they sure are fundraising every chance they get. That's my rant. Apparently, and correct me if I'm wrong, the Phillies first baseman, Ryan Howard, is married to an elementary school teacher in our district, he donated a large sum of money and money that he donated went towards this. Good for him for contributing such a large sum to our schools, but they used it on
iPads? Yeesh.
Tomorrow...or today...Madeline will be getting her hair cut! Oh my goodness! A little nervous, but excited at the same time. She will be going to a little girl salon, where they make it fun and even add super girly touches like sparkles and hair scent, so we're definitely making a big deal about it. The First Hair Cut package, complete with a photo I'll be sure to share. Our little girl is getting so big.
Off to pack some more for our weekend getaway. Halloween fun at an indoor water park and then to celebrate our Pop's birthday. Yay!
On Mommy's back while she helped at Daddy's work picnic last weekend.
Our little Minnie Mouse.
& Joshua taking a break from helping.
