She decided to wear her pirate outfit out tonight. ARG!
I don't know how I feel about that. You already look around and see adults on their phone...so, the kids equally have their face buried in a device. Don't get me wrong, I am not against bringing something that occupies your child or giving them your phone to watch something if the service seems extra slow that day..hell, sometimes it's better than the alternative for you and everyone around. But, it just seems as though that important family, social, public interaction is being taken away. Like they are not fully taking in the environment and activity around them...all important in life and social skills. At least let them get to that point of boredom where you have to find something to entertain them. I'm definitely not judging, just curious as to what the next generation is going to be like with more technical interaction than social and all the instant gratification. Again, this was just my own little personal revelation tonight...I am not saying anything is right or wrong.
I'll admit, my eyes look at my phone a little too much at times. It's actually horrible how one can become so attached to a device, that constant need to hit the 'home' button and scan over the text, email, messenger, facebook, twitter notifications...it's like an addiction. I'm definitely going to work on that. I wonder what moments I am missing over a silly notification.
Hell, once we get back from Disney with a puppy, I doubt I'll even have time to breathe anyway.HAHA!
On another note, my phone WILL be in my hand every Target trip from now on....hellllllo, have you tried the Cartwheel app? Holy savings!!!
