Every time Joshua has been invited to play at Ripken stadium, something falls through. Well, he has a tournament there this weekend for the AllStar team...I can't think of what they call the league right now...and we thought he wouldn't be able to play Saturday because he has Legion ball too and that trumps all. We got the o.k. that he was able to attend Saturday AND Sunday. AWESOME. So, I'm siked!! Growing up in Md, there were a few things that your summers were filled with Cal Ripken, snowballs, Brady Anderson, crabs, Leo Gomez, Mike Devereaux, Billy Ripken, did I mention Cal Ripken?? I rattled off some old names there, huh? If you're one of them newbie fans, ya wouldn't know.haha. Anyway, Ripken stadium is like a huge deal when you come from Merlin, hon...at least it is to me.
Here I am, all ready to get a good night's sleep so I can be in all my glory, watching my son (who fired someone out at first base from center field just last night and my Memom compared him to Adam Jones) play at Ripken stadium and......wait for it....there's water pouring in through our basement windows. Yep. I'm not exaggerating AT ALL. We can actually see the 3 inches of water, sitting outside the window, pouring in. What does that mean?? We will be up the entire night, preventing our basement from completely flooding. Let's look on the positive side....at least we knew before bed, right? Pssh. *hears "it's like raaaaaiiiin on Ripken stadium day, it's a free ride when you already paid.....isn't it ironic.."*
Ridiculous. Ugh. Anthony is on his way to the store to get something he thinks will stop it from coming in. Fingers crossed.
Lovely, huh? Our month old baby is sleeping through the night, but we'll be up watching water fill up huge totes.
Alright, I'll be hopeful that what my husband is out getting will stop it.
So Madeline walked up to me this morning as I was nursing, handed me her baby doll and said, "Feed my baby". I found it to be hilarious, so I did....well, you know, I pretended I did. She thanked me so nicely and climbed up with me as I was nursing Joseph. It is a bit of a pain, making sure she's not crushing the baby or falling off, but I will never turn her away. I will always make sure she feels like she is welcome and that she can join that "special" time that I am having with Joseph. Kids are so inquisitive, they notice every little thing, so I always watch my step to avoid making her like I'm leaving her out. I do the same with Josh, it was a pain to watch youtube video after youtube video with him today, but I did it. I will always do my best to make sure they all know I have time for them and they are all equally important. I'd like to think that they will always remember that about me...I live and breathe each of them.
Oh, and you want a laugh?? I sure need one. I was talking to WOMEN at the baseball field before I left with THIS wet spot on my shirt last night. You think anyone would tell me? Nope.
ANYWAY. Here's a cute ABC's video....I couldn't tell if she was being dramatic or needing a drink. I did offer her some water, but she declined.haha.
