Yesterday afternoon was rough, I was cramping like never before and was wondering if I should start packing up a hospital bag. But, I rebounded well and am feeling much better today. Even though sleeping doesn't seem to be in the plan lately.
Baseball is in full swing now..with a potential THREE teams on our plate. One after another. It will definitely keep us, I mean Joshua, busy. I love baseball season...it is my absolute favorite time of year. When I was younger, it was because of our Orioles season tickets or just watching them on tv. There were so many memories made watching those games. Now, it's to watch my son. Nothing compares to the feeling of watching your boy play baseball...especially at the level he is getting to now, the competition is intense. With it being 7 days a week, there's really no time to follow "real" baseball anyway. Next week is supposed to be gorgeous, I cannot wait to have Madeline out every night at his practice.
I went to aquatic fitness today...the first time we have been to the gym this week, since Madeline had a cold. Have I mentioned how amazing it feels to be in water? I think I could live in water these days, my body would love me. Well, ultimately, aquatic fitness = a bunch of old ladies in the pool chatting. Oh, plus another pregnant girl from China that doesn't speak English. I think I'm the only one that actually pays attention to/understands what the instructor is saying. It was a different instructor today though, so not only were the old ladies extra chatty, the instructor kept looking at me concerned and asking if I was ok. Um...aquatic fitness is like refreshing relax time to me, considering the other classes I take and the two year old I chase around all day...it made me giggle. I had one old lady, Ellen, that decided to take an interest in me today, following me around the pool, asking about names and the baby dropping and if the baby likes the water and wanting to tell me about her labors. It was really interesting. At one point, after she asked if I would breast or bottle feed, she told me that breastfeeding makes women out to be cows and she bottle-fed and not to be pressured into thinking that I have to breastfeed this baby because it's the trend right now. She cracked me up..I guess I'm a cow. I'm not one to get all huffy puffy and defend breastfeeding, it's all in the generation that you're from and what was believed to be best then. Little does she know, breastfeeding is more of a challenge than a trend.
It did remind me of this cartoon I saw a while back and loved......
She also made a comment when we were doing lunges on the pool wall that she refers to that exercise as "the pool douche". Seriously, she cracked me up. I don't think she was very in with the rest of the ladies, so I look forward to seeing her again next week.
Well, off to do some cleaning. Pinterest tells me that Borax is the
Oh and here we are at "Hellnastics" yesterday...
Look at that cheesy smile!
...it supposed to be our last session, but maybe I was wrong because the "teacher" told Madeline she would have balls out for her next week. She had a great time and even participated in a game this time! She SO thinks she is a teacher also though...standing right in the middle, checking to make sure the kids are watching her. Confidence. I love it.
Guess I was a cow too...4 times! Now I have permanent utters...LOL! It's so funny how nursing wasn't really the en vogue thing to do when we were babies. Things change over the years...think about how different it was when our boys were babies. Everything now is organic, seems like everyone makes their own baby food and the gadgets and toys are MUCH more evolved! I would have loved a Bumbo seat back in the day! Glad you are feeling better Chrissy! Can't wait for "Baby Spirito" to make his/her debut! SMC ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I cracked up over the udders...oh, the things we moms do for their kids. I agree that everything is SO different now. Thanks, we are definitely getting very excited to meet this new little one!
