Pinterest projects

As I said in my post earlier, I made a Pinterest meal tonight. I usually don't write two posts in one day, but tomorrow is a busy day with hellnastics and I have one of those dumb measure my belly and ask how I'm feeling appointments. The office close to our house is closed this week and I had to make it at another office, so Madeline and I will be hitting up some stores in that area too.

And for my Pinterest projects tonight....
Take-Out, Fake-Out: Chicken and Broccoli. SO GOOD.
I made it in the crock pot because I loved the flavor of the Crock Pot Beef & Broccoli after simmering all day. So, I just threw all of the ingredients in (diced chicken breast, low sodium soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, honey, rice vinegar), let it simmer on low all day, then threw in the broccoli during the last 30 minutes and viola! DELICIOUS! I really can't decide which [& broccoli fake-out, take-out] I like more now. I'm just happy I have some left for lunch tomorrow.hehe!

My husband was quite disappointed that I didn't make the dessert I mentioned earlier, but there was a tiny misunderstanding there. The pin said one thing, then I clicked on it and there were completely different ingredients. So, I'll save that for another day.

So, instead, we tried out Flour Painting.
Flour, Salt, Food Coloring and water....

She was very interested in the consistency.
Then, you microwave it and it becomes puffy! Pretty cool.

She was very impressed with the new, puffy texture after we microwaved it.
Cute. We just may do it again.

  1. SUPER cute Chrissy! The kids always like the homemade play dough too. (But it gets pretty sticky). Your dinner pic. made me HUNGRY! Will have to check out the recipe. Love reading your posts! Love, Susan

    1. Thanks, Susan! Yes, I love the homemade play dough...especially adding a spice or kool aid to it and it almost smells good enough to eat.
Definitely try this recipe or the beef and broccoli. They are SO good!
