I love this tiny baker.

What a great day. A day I have been waiting for....baking Christmas cookies with my daughter!! I've forced Joshua to make them with me for many years, so I bet he was glad to be off the hook...although, he makes these pretzel with rolos that he will keep the tradition going on. Madeline was so fascinated with the whole process, especially a teaspoon measurement, for some reason. Oh, and breaking an egg.haha. But, most of all, she loved decorating the sugar cookies. She mixed all the cookies, helped drop the dough on a few sheets, gladly taste-tested them all....but the decorating part caught her interest the most. I was beaming with pride as she carefully decorated about two dozen cookies.
I love this tiny baker.
On another note, I have decided to start hand writing each recipe we bake/cook together, to reference for next time and so one day she will have a keepsake/guide of everything we created together. She spilled a little vanilla on our sugar cookie recipe and it made me smile that a few years from now, it will remind me to tell her about her two year old self making cookies. I may even add pictures to this Madeline & Mommy recipe binder.
Ready to sprinkle!
