Dirty dozen

I've had a very frustrating couple of days. I try not to write about too many frustrating things because it seems as though that's what grabs the most attention....and I hate negative/feel sorry for me attention. I even deleted my facebook status the other day because I was getting tired of commenting about negative things. My Mom and husband taught me that. Think positive and that's how things will be.
Anyway, Wednesday, we discovered someone has gained access to Anthony's bank account. That pretty much ruined the day. It's such a pain in the ass to change everything....accounts, direct deposits, etc.
Yesterday and Today, I didn't even know what the problem was/is...it's like I'm in a funk, I guess. My kids make me smile though.

But, Josh seems to be driving me crazy with the summer break attitude at times. His room looks like a bomb went off, he's in junk food junkie mode and acts like the couch is his domain. Grrrrrrrrr! That being said, I have decided [after a convo with another Mom from our team] that I will start adding spinach to everything Josh eats from now on. Yep, he decided he doesn't like veggies anymore, so trickery it is. Made a hamburger helper type meal the other night with lean beef, whole grain pasta, low fat cheese and spinach..."Mom, what's all this green stuff?"...."Parsley"..."Oh, cool.". Hehehehehe. THAT's what I'm talkin' about! *wink wink*. I'm even sneaking it in all of Anthony's food too. Really, you can't taste it, so why not. I was a little disappointed that I can't make it for Madeline because it is on the dirty dozen list though, which is a list of the dirty veggies and fruit you should not give a baby.
Let's go back to more fun times.....
Friday was a very nice family day. It started with a morning walk to this new breakfast joint that just opened up down the street. I wore my Sketchers with no socks.Ouch...not going to do that again.
We decided to go to the pool with Pop Tony and gave Madeline her first real dip in the pool. I dipped her piggies the day before and she was fine with it, but Ant wanted me to wait for him until we did a real dip. Well, she hated it. In my opinion, he put her in too fast...she cried...I went into Mommy mode and snatched her away to calm her down. I know, I shouldn't do that....I'm working on it, but I hate when she cries because she only does it when there is a REALLY good reason.

Then we left for Me-mom and Be-pops!!! We got there late, I put Madeline down, then had a few drinks with Me-mom.
Saturday, we went to a [Mom's side] family picnic. GREAT time there. I will have to upload pictures when I figure out the whole uploading thing now that our computer is not accepting my camera. It was so nice to have the whole family together....Bobby even stopped by during a work break. The only person missing was my Pop-pop, who had surgery on Tuesday...major artery surgery, but everyone always acts like it's no big deal because he has been through so many. He is doing well now.
We had a very relaxing Sunday. [Thank goodness because Me-mom and I stayed up until 3am the night before!! Me-mom can hang with the young crowd, for sure!!] But, we took Uncle Henry to Kohl's and then cooked on the grill...could not have asked for a more relaxing day actually.
Monday, 4th of July, we had Emily and Ben's wedding reception to attend. The day started off a little hectic, though. We were not invited to the actual ceremony and had no idea EVERYONE was coming over Me-mom and Be-pops before, so we were in our pajamas at 8:30am when people started showing up. I felt like I was in the Meet the Parents movie where he wakes up and everyone is all dressed up, eating breakfast and he looks like he just rolled out of bed. People were coming in either thinking we weren't ready or that we were going to the ceremony like THAT.?? Quite amusing. When the house was clear I handed Madeline to Anthony and was in get ready mode! The reception was a good time! Very family cookout/crab feast type atmosphere. And again, I will have to upload photos later, but here are our photo booth pictures....

And yes, my husband was unaware that these pictures were being placed in a photo album for the bride and groom....he thought it was just something funny for us. So, he got a little nasty behind the curtain! *tsk tsk*
