Day 8. Down 9 lbs like yesterday. This is why the book specifically says not to weigh yourself until you have completed the 9 day detox...that's right, I didn't word it correctly before, it's not a fast, it's a detox. We are doing well. My husband is wanting things I never thought he would suggest like grilled pineapple with a yogurt dip (which was AMAZING and tasted like cake to 2 people on "food detox" :p). Coming up on day 9, I may extend my detox...I'm not sure. Now that Anthony found this recipe website, there are so many more possibilities.
Madeline friended the pineapple, thank goodness she didn't see me dice it up!
Speaking of friends, I came upstairs last night and our little orange cat, Oscar, was carrying around our parakeet, Cole. I freaked.completely.then screamed for Anthony and ran back downstairs, afraid of the end result. Well, all of our windows were open, so I'm sure the whole entire neighborhood heard the fiasco as Anthony chased, screamed and yelled at Oscar, probably thinking our house is crazy...and they are right. But, the bird was unharmed, amazingly enough. Oscar was just trotting around with him, lightly carrying the bird in his mouth....like "Come on, fraind, I'll show you the rest of the house!". The bird cage is now safely downstairs in the cat free zone.
About 3-4 years now we have had this home number and I can remember getting about a call a week asking for Joseph Hills. It was no big deal because it was every once in a while. Well, lately they have been coming in over 5 times a day and no matter how many times I say he doesn't live here they still call back. It's mainly bill collectors, so I can't help but think he still gives this number out. But even CVS calls and says his prescriptions are ready. I think I may go there and leave him a note for when he picks up his meds..... You owe a lot of people money, Mr. Joseph Hills, now stop giving them the wrong number!!!
