The Freezer Stash

I'm a little bit nervous tonight. It has started to rain and I can hear thunder in the distance. I love a good storm and I'll be the first to stand outside and watch it, but lately it seems like the power goes out every time it rains. Here's my secret:   I'm scared to death of the dark.[Shhhh]     There, I said it. The other night when Josh and Anthony were at a baseball game, it was storming and the power went out. I was in the hallway and could still see the light from Madeline's Deep Blue Sea Soother glowing in her room.......

So, I ran in there. AND felt the need to call Anthony to let him know the power went out, just so I could talk to someone.haha. Yeah, I'm just a big CHOOCH. Or maybe I have watched too many scary movies? Either way, that's a fear I will always have to hide from the kid[s]. Honestly, I don't even like sleeping with all of the lights off. I always turn off the tv box, but "forget" to turn off the tv screen so the dim light telling me to turn it off fills the room.

Josh makes his Confirmation tomorrow night. Is that supposed to be a big deal? Because we haven't really been treating it like it is. He actually would rather go to his baseball game then to dinner afterwards. But, I'll be sure to take pictures and cheer him on during the last of his Sacraments. He chose Anthony's father as his Confirmation sponsor and the name Anthony as his name....that makes me smile. We have been so blessed to have become part of this family.

With the next topic I must say.....I know you read my blog, Me-mom! ;) hehe.
Our garage is out of control. It is like the dumping grounds for things that our families do not want to keep, but they do not want to throw away either. So, while they are cleaning out their homes, our town home is becoming smaller and smaller. I love that people want to give us things, but I then develop a sentimental attachment because I love the person who gave it to us...therefore it ends up in the garage. That being said, I have piled things on top of the deep freezer that I am going to have to get to this week. My freezer stash has taken over the kitchen freezer and I don't even think we could fit a gallon of ice cream in there if we tried. The freezer stash consists of about 300 ounces of frozen breast milk. That's really not a lot considering the average 3 month old should drink about 30 ounces a day. But imagine it frozen in bags....it takes up some room, for sure! So, that, among many other things, is what I shall try to accomplish this week.
I really need to get on the ball! Perhaps all of this expected rain this week will force me to be inside getting things done!
