On Friday, I ended up going into Josh's school right before the end of the day to embarrass him by emptying his desk in search of missing assignments. Well, since I taught Art up until I was 9 months pregnant, there were squealing girls and curious boys crowded around Madeline. So, FAIL, they didn't even care what I was there for. They were more worried about asking Josh to make her smile and questioning me on his big brother skills. Kids. *sigh*
On Saturday, we went to the beautiful Olivia's 1st Communion party. She told me how happy she was and that the day was All about ME (her)! That made me smile, it was so cute. Her American Girl Doll was also in a Communion dress. Oh the things I have to look forward to! haha.
Here's Olivia looking at the babies on the couch. She LOVES the babies and is always asking to hold them. I have a feeling she is going to be just like her Mom, my cousin, Susan, who LOVES children also.
Anthony and Josh couldn't make the trip to Md with me because they had a baseball game. I missed them. But, Anthony coaches and has made a commitment to be there, with Josh.
Sunday! The day of rest....not so much, but I don't mind it one bit. We had a school baseball game. Josh did really well pitching, then he caught a line drive to the calf and had to be taken out. I didn't even know it got him because he didn't flinch, but the coach saw it and didn't like the looks of how hard it hit. The people next to me were VERY disappointed and wanted him to stay in because he was doing so well. But, better safe than sorry.
The biggest news in 10 years? Bin Laden is DEAD. I never did see the point of killing a killer, I'd rather see them suffer the way they made so many suffer and I believe locking them in a cell for their remaining years would be more harsh than death...death is a way out. But, that's just my opinion. It has brought peace to many Americans, so it is a good thing.
Something I really don't understand?? Why are we always changing the pronunciation of the Middle Eastern regions? Last night as Obama kept saying [Pockyston], I couldn't help thinking wasn't it [Packistan]? And I remember during Desert Storm when it was [Eyerack] and not [Earrock]. I know this all irrelevant, but it's just on my mind.
Well, we cannot find a house that we like in time. So, it looks like we have to sign a another years lease and are Here to stay. I am stuck here for another year. But, maybe this is a good thing since we can't seem to decide if we are moving to Maryland or staying in Pennsylvania. My husband like the Bel Air, Md area...I do not know much about it and I don't think he does either. It's just in the middle of everyone. Who knows. I'm a little sad, but things usually happen for a reason.
Thanks Chrissy for the kind comments about Olivia (& me) & for sharing the day with us. Yes, she loves the beautiful babies in the family. She truly enjoyed HER "special day"...LOL! She felt like a princess in her dress & veil. :) We missed the boys but are glad they had a great game. Awesome blog as always. (BTW I am with you about the whole POKISTAN vs Pakistan? When did it change?) Susan
