In no order, here we go...
Sony Baby Call Monitor
I love this monitor. Some may say they had me pegged for a video monitor type of person. Nope. I had enough trouble sleeping when I transitioned her to the crib, looking at her on a little tv, taunting me to go pick her up, would have been torture. I would have had to go get her and we would now have a co-sleeping situation on our hands. So, no thank you. This monitor is great, simple, yet effective. There are 27 channels to minimize interference, but I haven't had to change the channel yet. It also has this AMAZING voice activation mode, it only comes on when she cries and I don't have to hear the white noise.
Bjorn Carrier
We love the Bjorn carrier. I try to walk with M in it at least once a day, she loves being so close to us and seeing things from our perspective, plus it's like adding resistance to my walk, therefore burning more calories, yes?
Brica Day & Night Musical Mirror
Love it. There is a remote control for the music and night light. M loves the music that it plays and Mom loves that she can sneak a peek during a nighttime commute.
Zip-up sleepers
So much more easy and convenient to throw a cold baby that just got out of the tub in then figuring out a bunch of buttons.
Huggies Soft Pack
Something I have a hard time remembering? To refill that dumb little wipe holder in the diaper bag. So, then I end up out somewhere with a messy diaper and no wipes. Well, Huggies has these soft packs, like a normal box of wipes with the snap top, but in a soft, squishy pack that can easily be shoved in the diaper bag.
Johnson's Bedtime Bath and Lotion
I think this is every Mother's favorite!..at least the ones I talk to swear by it. I don't know if it actually helps her sleep better, but I'm not willing to find that out. So, we use the bubble bath and lotion every bath night and on non bath nights she gets lathered up with the lotion.
Speaking of the bath, something I read a while ago.... Place a warm wash cloth on your babies chest to keep them from getting cold while in the tub. M cried her first couple baths, I did this and no more crying. She completely enjoys her relaxing bath time.
Tinted Van Windows
I'm so thankful that our van has tinted windows in the back. It makes it so easy to just climb right in back and nurse M while I'm waiting for Josh at a practice or when we're out and about. I'm not much on public nursing, I just feel weird. So, this helps a lot. Oh, and dressing rooms sometimes too. I can only imagine what people think as they hear the noises that come from the stall that we are in. I usually end up talking to her, so they will kind of get the point.haha.
Well, I could go on and on about the things they have now for babies that they didn't 12 years ago [yes, 12 years on the 19th.ugh]. But, that would make for a very long and boring post....but hell, this may be boring anyway. Oh well. *shrugs*
