My memories of Easter are waking up to find that the Easter Bunny had left a jelly bean trail, the jelly bean trail lead to my Easter basket. I loved Easter because of this. So, I followed this tradition and the E.B. would lay out a jelly bean trail for Joshua also.
There is no jelly bean trail this year, we are taking a break, because next year we will be in full E.B. mode again....and Josh realizes that, so I figured I would give him a break from my cheesiness this year. Instead, here is my sophisticated jelly bean message for the family.....
Our 1st Anniversary happens to fall on Easter this year . We also got engaged on Easter, so it is a pretty special holiday for me. Our engagement is something that will be fresh in my mind forever. My husband is so creative. I told him of the jelly bean trail that I always loved as a child and he remembered this. When I arrived at my Me-mom & Be-pop's they had a jelly bean trail set up for me. I thought it was super strange that my Grandparents did this for me, but I had moved from Md to Pa and I thought they were so sad by that and they decided to do this for me. So, I went with it. (You can tell by the video how embarrassed I am that they did this though). I followed the trail and there were little gifts along the way. 1st was a charm for my Pandora bracelet. 2nd was a heart necklace. 3rd was a glass egg, I opened it to find a ring and turned around to see Anthony on his knee. I teared up just typing this. It is something I will never forget. My cousin, Susan, didn't know what was going on, but she pressed the record button on her camera and I'm so glad she did!
:D
